OUTPRESSO - Nespresso capsule recycling |
OUTPRESSO is a new
recycling gadget for the
coffee lover who also
cares about the
environment.
Nespresso coffee
machines use
aluminium capsules, but
recycling the used
capsules wasn't
possible. Until now.
OUTPRESSO
separates coffee
grounds from the
aluminium capsules. No
mess, no fuss, just
efficient aluminium
recycling and a little
more nitrogen-rich
coffee goodness for
your plants or compost
heap. |
The choices we make
about how we use that
energy have a
significant impact on our
environment.
We also need to
consider that the earth's
natural resources aren't
endless. Aluminium is a
valuable raw material
which is high in
demand, but limited in
supply.
OUTPRESSO gives the
green-minded the
chance to conserve
energy and natural
resources. A tonne of
recycled aluminium
saves nine tonnes of
damaging greenhouse
gasses from being
released.
Used aluminium coffee
capsules consist of far
more coffee than
aluminium, so they can't
just be thrown in with
the rest of the cans and
tins for recycling.
OUTPRESSO changes that. By separating the
coffee grounds from the
recyclable aluminium
capsule in mere
seconds, you can help
make a difference.
OUTPRESSO is now available for our visitors based in the USA.

"I felt the Nespresso pods to be a great waste and when I saw the Recycling Accessory I immediately ordered it. It's very straight forward to use, empties the pods of coffee granules then squashes the pod, the granules go into the brown bin and the pods then flattened go to the blue bin so it is completely recycled. Great idea."
"I have always been an avid recycler as well as a lover of coffee. I love my nespresso machine, but was always a bit put off by the waste. I did my best to recycle the pods by hand but it was a hell of a mess. Anyway, today I received an Outpresso which I ordered at the beginning of the week (www.outpresso.co.uk), and it is brilliant! Its a bit like using a stapler and results in getting nearly all of the coffee out. It does leave some in, but apparently not enough to be a problem when recycling a quick rinse under the tap does get rid of the rest though!
Having spent most of the day pressing out at least a hundred or so pods, I have to say Im really pleased with it and would strongly recommend it to every nespresso owner." John
